The main fields of study at the Institute of Environmental Sciences are: evolutionary biology, physiological ecology, biodiversity in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, ethology, plants-microorganisms interactions, ecotoxicology and stress ecology. We are also active in environmental monitoring, nature conservation and ecological education.

We offer four different programmes to our students: Biology, Ecology and Evolution (in English), Environmental Protection and Management (in English) and Management of natural resources.
