Scientists from the Institute of Environmental Sciences received four new NCN projects in the OPUS 2 call
- Prof. Dr. hab. Małgorzata Grodzińska-Jurczak received funding for the project “Warning, plastic danger! - Integration of civic science and science communication in finding solutions to the pollution caused by disposable plastic during the COVID-19 pandemic, (Pandemic in the 21st Century: the winners of the OPUS 20 + LAP competition will investigate the impact of the coronavirus on the economy and the environment)
The amount of the grant is PLN 959,585
- Dr. hab. Szymon Drobniak received funding for the project “Microbiome – hereditary and reproducible? Evolutionary potential of the microbiome in wildlife populations” worth PLN 2,577,780
- Dr. hab. Ulf Bauchinger received funding for the project “Effects of aging on body temperature and antioxidant performance and thus on oxidative stress: The load of heterothermic animals” in the amount of PLN 1,647,092
- Dr Edyta Sadowska received funding for the project “Mechanisms determining predatory behaviour – conclusions from an evolutionary experiment on bank vole”, in the amount of PLN 1,993,532.
